2013-2014 FLU EPIDEMIC IS IN FULL SWING
DFM has been providing primary care services for over 60 years. Over the decades we have seen the health care system go through many changes and challenges, but have found a way to continue to care for our patients. The Affordable Care Act (aka “Obamacare”) is complex and represents the greatest change to the healthcare system since the adoption of Medicare, but DFM is committed to serving our community and we will still be here to care for your family long after the Affordable Care Act fades from the news. Many aspects of the new law are controversial and there is a lot of debate about how we will all be effected. For our purposes, we will try to focus on what you have to do and how DFM can help. learn more
The best way to deal with the flu is to prevent it. Get the flu shot! (It will NOT give you the flu - worst myth ever!) Give us a call to check on availability, as it is always changing. If we don’t have any, we may know who does or click here to search: flu shots
Be intentional about hand washing (hand sanitizer counts) and if you get sick, come in quick. Because the flu is a virus, there are only a couple of medications that can be used successfully and those only work in the first couple of days.
